Below are the typical questions we are asked about our service.
What service do you offer?
We offer a comprehensive review of your purchase book, and with you, identify what we think you should put out to tender. Invitations to tender are sent out to suppliers in your local geographic area, or if it prudent, to sources from overseas.
The tender process is completed using our system. The client is able to log in and view all responses side by side and make their choice accordingly.
How do we know that the prices will not be changed later on in the year?
The system has detailed reports to show your spend on a weekly, monthly basis and provides your accounts department with a mechanism to ensure that you are being charged the agreed prices. The manager of each department can have budgets applied to ensure that they are on their monthly target.
How long does this process take?
Typically it takes 4 weeks to agree the items for tendering, gain responses and agree with you on how to be implement the cost saving program.
When the tenders are in, what happens then?
Together we review the tender submissions and identify the most appropriate supplier(s) to move forward with.
Is quality taken into account or is the best price?
Quality is of critical importance, particularly with perishable products like food. The final decision is with the client and their manager to decide which companies they want as suppliers. With items such as dry goods, suppliers are generally quoting like for like, so the decision is easier.
Do you tender for everything or just certain products?
We look at all of your purchasing and take everything into account. It is vital that all the suppliers are quoting for like with like. For example we include the gram size of paper for printing. Ultimately, the choice of what goes out to tender is up to the client.
Who chooses which supplier we are going to use?
The choice of supplier rests exclusively with you the client. We pride ourselves on a transparent process which guarantees the best results for our clients.
